Veterans Day

Veterans Day can easily pass without many of us doing much. I regret not getting involved with my local VA hospital this year. I would like to do more for the men and women who have served and currently serve our country. I am conscious to say thank you when I see a person in uniform. I also give thanks to elderly men with hats commemorating ships or carriers, as well as Vietnam vets in vests or jackets with patches signifying divisions and places. Hopefully next year I'll have more to report than just writing my thanks.

Here are a few pictures from an overnight in November a couple of years ago:

These videos are a nice (albeit a little cheesy) way to teach and remind me about Veterans Day.

Becky...you are an old soul, and I LOVE that about you. You understand and feel things so deeply. You are a great example to me.

Thanks Beck, loved it. I spent Thurs afternoon with Terry M. and learned he was a Korea vet. We actually talked about it. He said, with no bitterness at all, that it was a "forgotten war" and they were mostly overlooked. Not by you, not by us, not by many.
