There is too much for me to say about my fabulous 16 day France vacation. I won't even try to give detailed itinerary information. We went north to Normandy and the D-Day beaches (which I'll blog about next time.) Then to the Loire river valley and the chateaux of the area. Next, we stayed in the Dordogne River region. Finally, we drove to Provence. We traveled 3,900 km through mountains, valleys, villages, and cities.

I was overwhelmed by the glory of nature. I have never experienced such brightness in light and color.
We pulled over from driving to take a few pictures on a couple of occasions. Amazingly, we never ceased to be awestruck. Whether we were in a quaint village or the sprawling grounds of a chateau, we appreciated everything.
Here are some snapshots with the girls. These actually are in reverse chronological order. Veronica was there for the first four days and Julia for the remaining nine.
