May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rains fall soft upon your fields
'til we meet again
May God hold you in His hands
It felt as though an Irish blessing bestowed upon me in my travels to Ireland with my mother and aunt. We traveled the countryside, navigated Dublin traffic, sailed a ferry, walked in the rain, ate by candlelight, listened to a jig, laughed like children, and slept like queens. Every person we encountered was friendly, generous, and kind.
Slán go fóill
Goodbye for now Ireland.
I will return.
